Crystal palace VS Everton

On Saturday 27th April 2019 I attended Crystal Palace Vs Everton game. It was a 3pm kick off but i needed to arrive earlier due to an arranged meeting. I wasn't sure exactly what the meeting was for but when I arrived I was informed I would be doing an interview for Palace Level Playing Field who are a charity that are trying to improve and document disabled supporters according to their experiences. I was interviewed on pitch side by Chris Grierson, who is Palaces official presenter for approx 15 minutes. The interview will be shared on social media soon. It went very well and I was asked questions about Palaces disabled facilities, which if you read my blog regularly you will know I know a lot about. I really enjoyed this and I am very thank full for the opportunity.

After Everton's recent 4-0 win over Manchester United we were going into this game feeling a bit anxious as to what would happen.

The game started at 3pm, it was a very windy day. I can honestly say this wasn't one of my most eventful games that I have been too. There was an early chance for Palace when Mcarther was able to play a ball down the middle to Benteke. He was unable to score but the offside flag was already up. Then a chance came for Everton as Calvert-Lewin was able to pick up the ball and get his shot off but it was easily picked up by the hands of Guaita. Everton were looking dangerous but Palaces defence was able to deal with it. In the 28th minute Wan-Bissaka was able to get passed two Everton players before whipping a ball into the area to Milivojevic who was unable to get a successful shot. After this nothing happened until the second half. Palace tried to get the early second half goal with Meyer as he was able to run down the left hand side and put a cross into the area but was met by Keane who was able to put it out for a Palace corner. In the 54th minute Palace had luck on their side as Everton was able to get a shot after Van Aanholt failed an attempt to clear the ball but Palaces goal keeper looked to have it covered but the ball was denied by the post. In the 56th minute there was a huge penalty shout from Everton after Van Aanholt put in an excellent tackle but Richarlison went to the ground, there was a huge "boooo" from the Palace fans as they had spotted he had dived. After this whenever Richarlison was on the ball the Palace fans would call him a cheat. A free kick was awarded to palace in the 66th minute after Meyer was pushed over but their free kick was seen out by an Everton defender. In the 71st minute Wan-Bissaka made another excellent block as Richardson tried to get down the left side. Palace made their first sub by bringing on Townsend for Max Meyer. The final piece of action came in the 89th minute when once again Everton were denied by the post.

The game ended 0-0.

After the game we stayed behind to see the players as per usual. My friend Katie also stayed with us and we were able too see many players including Aaron Wan-Bissaka (My favourite player :) Riedewald, Batshuayi, Bakary Sako and Everton player Dominic Calvert-Lewin, He also plays for England under 21s.
